Tamizh Mix..................

I have to thank one of my close friend for reminding me to continue my blog.......
After some controversial topics which i have wrote in my previous blogs i have one more........
This is not to hurt anyone, it's my gut feeling

Tamizh naatla Tamilzhin nilamai............
Nowdays it has become a passion to talk in english, eventhough we are in tamilnadu, namma chennai la......
I can accept this to some extent as everyone will have the tendency to get attracted towards new things..
But let me tell you "slowly and steadily we are losing our identity"

Eppo lam neraya per kooda mudhal thadavai pesurappo konjam adhigamave "English - Tamil mix" la thaan pesuraanga......
Most people really want to speak in english thinking that is really smart.
Lot of them are mixing tamil and english intentionally when they are speaking with others.

I'm not opposing people who talk in english, but those who consciously attempts to put in some english words in between their tamil conversations .

For example

Dialogue Situation 1 : If someone has to ask the other person near him to take the water bottle in the table

Most of the people's dialogue is : Antha watera konjam edunga !!

Instead it should be Antha thanni ya konjam edunga !!

்Dialogue Situation 2 : If someone enquire about an address with a person in the street

Most of the people's dialogue is : " Apdiye straighta poi, left la thirumbhi,
thirumbavum oru left eduthinganna athan antha address !! "

Instead it should be "Apdiye nera poi edathu pakkam thirumbhi, konjam thooram pona thukku aprom thirumbavum edathu pakkam thirubhininganna athan antha vilasam !!"

I'm 100% sure that, if a person from younger generation(10 yrs old) is involved in the above situation, he/she would not have understood the "exact tamil version". Instead he/she would have understood the "mix version" very clearly

Already some of the tamil words are going out of memory like

Saatham - Soaru
Aalayam - Kovil
Neer veelchi - Aruvi

this list is endless........

Recently i went to a famous tamil restaurant in chennai for lunch
It was unlimited meals...so after the first round i called the waiter and said "Konjam soaru konduvaanga"...
Avan ennadanna enna nakkala paathan....,soaru kondu vaanga nnu sonnathu avanukku konjam keel thanama therinjirukku...
In the same situation if i had asked "Konjam rice kudunga" then he would have treated me as a different customer..
That's the state of tamil in singara chennai...

My analysis and observation in this topic tells me the following things

1) Soceity is pushing something which our people are accepting with both hands

2) We tamilians should feel proud to talk in tamil

3) Tamil-english mix causes rift among the soceity

Real smartness of a person is when he/she differentiates tamil and english and use them in seclusion

When you see red......you see red

Day : May 6th 2007
Time : 9:34 PM

Me and my friend were watching "Anbudan" (a TV interview program conducted by Gowthami) .
On that day the guests were Prasanna and Director Raadhamohan(Alagiya Theeye director). The program was going on well until it came to a point which truggered an interesting conversation.

Let me explain the trigger point. Gowthami asked director Raadhamohan "You have come across so many hurdles and has reached this point. What you think, the young people, who are dreaming to come to this industry, should do ?", a routine question.

He answered "Nowadays people are coming to the industry with some background(my father is a director,my father is an old actor epdi ellam) without knowing what they are going to do. Those type of people should not even try to come to this industry. Being an actor is a great thing,it should be there within........"

Being puzzled with his answer Gowthami asked "So you are saying that there should be something born within him/her to come to this industry. Don't you think by applying him/her self someone can come up to this level in this industry?"

"No,sattila iruntha thaan agapaila varum,u should have something within yourself,it cannot come with training...."

My friend started applauding for that answer. I was kindled by that applause.
I asked him "why are you applauding and what is so spectacular about his answer?"

"Everyone has their own capacity and whatever you do, you cannot achieve something which is not born within u......." apdinnu sonnan.

I thought it was a ridiculous answer to be applauded. I told him "Nothing is born within someone.Everyone succeeds in their life by their own belief and application."

I said "If everybody is being packaged(lifekku thevayana uppu,puli,mulaga......) by superpower then nobody needs to struggle in their life to taste success. It's not like that.......
Oru porantha kulanthaikku firstu senai thanni vakkira alavu thaan namma genes la inborn power irukku......rest all is you,you and you only..........."

So,drop the idea of inborn power and start believing in the masala you are adding to your life.
WORLD IS WAITING FOR YOU...

Didir Gnana Udayam

Saturday evening........I was in the middle of my late afternoon nap,my mobile phone started ringing....
It was my friend ................ asking me "Dai, oru long drive polama?" i said "ok"
We started our drive with some melodious music from Illayaraja's collections.

He asked me "Why people get adjusted with things very soon ?"

I replied in split second "Just to lead a happy life in this world.
hmm...people in recent times keep forgetting some basic principles"

He was not convinced with my answer and said that "We should try changing our principles based on what we need".On hearing this some gyan sparked in my mind.......
Oppurtunity combined with demand is the door to our life.
I asked him this question "What will you do if someone needs your help in some means desperately but something great is waiting for you?"
There is oppurtunity and demand in this situation in both directions (someone needing help and something great waiting for you)
Well, this is the answer my mind gave me which will happen in today's world in this situation.
For one's personal benefit people will forget their principles for that moment and live happily.Nobody wants to miss the waiting oppurtunity for the demand

After our long drive i was wondering why and how people get adjusted with things(good or bad) in life.A Normal person always look back for some guidance from our ancenstors. But most of the proverbs by our ancestors are not complete(they missed out the obvious thing, thinking that we will understand)

These are some of the things which occupied my mind at that time
Take for example "Live your life for today". The real meaning behind this is not that don't plan for the future but the meaning is don't lose ur present happiness for the future

Now the next one "Marappom......Mannippom". This proverb also says that we should forgive people's faults. But it is not that you keep adjusting with each and everything in life without even analysing them. When we keep adjusting people's faults we are not giving oppurtunity for others to correct their faults.
